Gill Ranch Conservation Bank
The Gill Ranch Conservation Bank Phase I was approved in 2007 and occupies approximately 1,800 acres of the 7,120 acre Gill Ranch in Southeastern Sacramento County just east of the community of Wilton. The Service Area for the conservation bank as determined by the USFWS Recovery Plan for Vernal Pool Ecosystems - south east Sacramento Valley - covers a broad area from Marysville to the Calaveras River east of Lodi and from Auburn to San Andreas.

The bank allows Conservation Resources to sell mitigation credits for the preservation in perpetuity of habitat for:

  • Vernal pool fairy shrimp
  • Vernal pool tadpole shrimp
